1st Public Meeting (Study Kickoff Meeting)
A "kickoff" meeting was held on July 29, 2008 to present the study to the public and to provide a forum for information exchange between the IDOT Study Team and interested members of the community.
The meeting was attended by approximately 750 individuals between the hours of 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. A presentation was given at 4:00 and 6:00 to share information about the study process, schedule, and public involvement opportunities.
Aerial base maps showing the current study area, along with informational graphics, were on display at the meeting. Reduced-size versions of these materials are available for downloading, below.
